The average cost of bookkeeping in Sonoma County is $80/hr. I have found that a more economical way to serve clients is to offer a monthly subscription for my services. This allows clients to know up front what services they will receive without worrying about how long it will take. The monthly subscription cost is based on the number of accounts you have and number of transactions per account.
My services are a good fit for sole proprietors, independent contractors, and small businesses with $200K or more in annual revenue who are ready to outsource the burden of bookkeeping. I am not a good fit for retail stores or online sellers. I work exclusively through Quickbooks Online.
We start with a discovery call. I will gather information about your business such as how you currently keep your books, whether or not they are up-to-date, how many active bank accounts and credit cards you have, how many transactions you have per month and where you would like to take your business in the next 5 years. If we agree that we are a good fit for each other, I will provide a proposal outlining the monthly cost.
Great bookkeeping is a collaborative process. As a monthly, ongoing service, I'll download and categorize all your income and expenses. I will maintain accurate records for your business, email a monthly financial statement and be available for any questions. Additionally, we will talk every quarter and again as we approach year-end tax deadlines. I do not offer payroll services at this time.
